Friends, Over 50% of Whatcom County voters have never heard of either candidate.   This means our local races are particularly susceptible to last-minute donations from outside entities.  Click here to see what the Seattle PI just reported. We are emphasizing our grassroots efforts and going door-to-door, talking with our neighbors, sharing information via social media, and hosting parties. A majority of County Council members won their election by a mere 750 votes. The next County Council will be making epic decisions that will effect our community for generations.  Your vote is your voice.  Your donation to this campaign is your megaphone!  Don't let anyone but Whatcom County citizens influence the outcome of these races.  Ballots will arrive in the mail in TWO WEEKS.  Here is how you can help: 1. I will continue to emphasize the environment, clean energy, intelligent economic development strategies, responsible land use, and public safety.  That is the job of local government.  My opponent is a vocal TEA Party Republican and supports the same type of reckless, ideological behavior we see in Washington DC.  We cannot afford that in Whatcom County.   I will continue to listen.  I will continue to work hard.  I will continue to be responsible.
